Apple’s new MacBook won’t be out for another month. But accessory makers are already ready for its groundbreaking USB-C connector.
LaCie, the premium arm of Seagate, announced Tuesday that it will have a MacBook-friendly Porsche Design Mobile Drive with a USB-C connector available next quarter.
The drive will be available in three sizes: 500GB, 1TB and 2TB. It is made of aluminum and has a sleek Porsche Design aesthetic. The drive runs at USB 3.0 speeds
Although the device is USB-C, it will include an adaptor to work with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 Type-A connectors. In other words, you can use this hard drive with more than just the new MacBook.
