Apple is planning its own version of wireless, over-ear headphones.
The California-based company is already developing the new ‘high-end’ audio accessory, which could be available by the second half of this year, insiders claim.
The decision follows the unprecedented success of their AirPods, which has become one of the firm’s most successful products.
It also comes just five years after they acquired Dr.Dre’s Beats Electronics for $3billion (£2.27billion) in 2014.
The latest claim was made in a recent report about Sonos speakers by Bloomberg.
Previously, they’d alleged that Apple was already in negotiations with manufacturer Tymphany to produce the headphones, although this is as-yet unconfirmed.
