It looks like the Honor 8 will become the first Honor-branded smartphone to be officially updated to Android 7 Nougat. Huawei (Honor’s parent company) confirmed via e-mail that the handset will get Nougat in February 2107 – in about two months’ time.
The Nougat update will also include EMUI 5.0, Huawei’s latest custom launcher. EMUI 5.0 brings plenty of improvements, including an app drawer, enhanced notification shade, a better power management system, and the ability to use different profiles in parallel.
