As HTC’s smartphone business has shrunk in size, the company has retreated from unprofitable segments and switched its focus over to the flagship and upper-midrange markets. But according to sources, the brand could soon make a surprise return to the budget segment.
The company is reportedly preparing a rather compact smartphone under the Wildfire E branding that’ll arrive equipped with a 5.45-inch LCD display which will boast an 18:9 aspect ratio and an HD+ (1440 x 720p) resolution.
