MarkLogic, provider of an enterprise NoSQL database platform, has introduced the MarkLogic Query Service, a new way to give customers elasticity in the cloud for their mission-critical, enterprise-grade workloads.
Many customers have successfully moved applications to the cloud in the past, and when they start moving mission-critical applications they expect the same benefit of elastic capacity, said Caio Milani, senior director of product management at MarkLogic. However, it is not as easy with the database and it is costly and not really fast to react, he noted.
