Motorola on Thursday pulled the cover back on the successor to last year’s well-received Moto Z Play smartphone and a handful of new Moto Mods – modular accessories that expand the functionality of the smartphone they’re attached to.
The Moto Z2 Play is a mid-ranger with a 5.5-inch, 1080p AMOLED display that’s powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and up to 4GB of RAM. Other goodies include as much as 64GB of local storage (expandable via microSD card slot), a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture lens and a 3,000mAh battery.
