Microsoft on Friday night released a cumulative update, build 14393.3, for its latest beta of Windows 10, version 1607. That may sound odd, but it’s a very good sign that we have in hand the final RTM version of Windows 10 Redstone 1, aka Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
Microsoft did the same thing with Windows 10 version 1511, last November’s Fall Update, which shipped as version 10586.3.
This time, though, the ‘Softies made it clear what they were doing, instead of muddling things together with the RTM release. In November, the first cumulative update appeared the day before the Fall Update shipped.
