Apple receives two patents including one for a handset with a flexible display

Apple has received a pair of patents from the USPTO for mobile devices including one with an augmented reality display. The patented technology allows a digital display made up of one or more touch screens, to be placed over a screen showing real-life images.

Similar to other augmented reality devices, the user will get to see information about real-life places and things in the user’s environment. For example, at a museum, the screen could show information about a painting that the user is looking at through the device.
