BI and analytics are at the top of corporate agendas. Competition is intense, and, more than ever, organizations are demanding faster access to insights about their customers, markets, and internal operations to make better decisions.
However, they are also facing challenges in powering real-time business analytics and systems of engagement. Analytic applications and systems of engagement need to be fast and consistent, but traditional database approaches, including RDBMS and first-generation NoSQL solutions, can be challenging to maintain, and costly, according to Aerospike CTO and co-founder Brian Bulkowski.
