Apple, Ford, Walmart, Disney, Intel, and a number of other companies are trying to convince the Trump administration that banning WeChat is a bad move.
The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that more than a dozen U.S. companies, including the ones above, participated in a call to explain how the ban could hurt them.
“For those who don’t live in China, they don’t understand how vast the implications are if American companies aren’t allowed to use it. They are going to be held at a severe disadvantage to every competitor,” said Craig Allen, president of the U.S.-China Business Council, to the WSJ.
