Yesterday, we pointed out that Android 9 Pie changed the default function of the volume controls from ringtone to media. As a result, when you want to raise the volume of your ringtone on a device running Android 9, you’re forced to go into settings to make the adjustment. This means that your ringtone could end up playing loud enough to have everyone nearby turn their eyes on you. Google will be fixing this in a future Android update.
