A little earlier than usual, Google has released its monthly Android distribution data. For the seven days ended on August 1st, Android 6.0 Marshmallow was found to be installed on 15.2% of Android devices that visited the Google Play Store during that week. This was a 14% increase from the 13.3% of Android devices that were running Marshmallow in last month’s report.
With a 35.5% slice of the pie, Android 5.0 Lollipop was the build of Google’s open source OS found on the most Android devices.
