Just the other day, we passed along some leaked specs for the Apple iPhone 7. According to the leak, the iPhone 7 will get a 14% hike in battery capacity to 1960mAh. But Apple will apparently be adding higher capacity cells to more than just its smartphones. According to a photograph spotted on Weibo, the 42mm Apple Watch 2 will be carrying a larger 334mAh battery when it is released. That would represent a 36% increase over the 246mAh battery found on current 42mm models of the timepiece.
Exchanging the current cell for a larger capacity model on the next version of the Apple Watch will help Apple tackle one of the biggest issues that consumers have had with its smartwatch.
