Samsung is trying to push the U.S. Supreme Court to hear its appeal of the patent suit Apple won against the company. In its filing, Samsung says that U.S. patent laws are archaic and are from an outdated time period when a device like the smartphone couldn’t have been fathomed. Samsung has focused its appeal on what it says are ancient laws surrounding design patents.
Considering the importance of the issue on a national level, it is possible that the Supreme Court will decide to hear the case.
